Everytime there is a new approach, there is a small gremlin dreaming up ways to break into or change the application. Sometimes it is a because it was there thing (you know like the mountain that has to be climbed), and sometimes it is to steal information.

Information has power if a person knows when and how to use it. Hacking has become big business like in the millions of dollars range. The cloud computing approach helps some things, but it did not get rid of viruses. They are still out there along with the hackers. Boooooo!

Regular virus programs are made to deal with viruses and their minions on your computer. Everyday a person looking at the screen sees little windows pop-up and tell a person a new update has occurred to the viral program. There are many updates all of which load up the hard drive and slow down the computer. The software viral update has a gestation period as long 24 days. This gives the virus plenty of time to multiply, mutate, and just create mayhem throughout the cyber universe.

In comes Panda Cloud AntiVirus to the rescue. It lives in the cloud with the global community. There is a free download at CNET which provides  the portal to access the Panda in cyber space. When a person encounters a virus, the Panda Cloud goes to work. Instead of 24 days before a virus can be stopped, a person and the global community are able to annihilate the little vermin in six minutes. Yeah!!!!!!!

Many a person will sleep better at night knowing the panda bear is watching.

Strengthening Your Internet Connection

The value of a strong Internet connection cannot be overstated. With people around the globe relying more and more on computer technology for communication, employment and entertainment, a weak or unstable Internet connection can leave you trailing behind in many respects. Interacting in a video chat with clients, playing online casino games or downloading important work files can all be achieved more effectively with a robust connection to the online world.

Getting to the Bottom of a Weak Internet Connection

A weak Internet connection can sometimes creep up on you. You’re in the middle of an important online activity, like playing online casino games or if you an online trading broker, and suddenly you have no connection or your download speeds have crawled to a halt. When this happens, you need a few strategies for fixing the problem.

  • Use a wireless repeater to increase your signal strength. A wireless repeater extends the range of your network.
  • Strengthen your wireless connection by moving your router. Be sure that there is nothing blocking the signal of your router. Walls, furniture or other devices can interfere with your router signal. Keep your router in a free, open space.
  • Examine the router parts. Pay close attention to the router’s antenna, which can wear out over time. Consider replacing it with a hi-gain antenna to direct the wireless signal to the desired area of your home.

Enjoying a Rapid Internet Connection

Resolving your Internet speed issue will do wonders for your enjoyment in work, school activities and play. Your download speed will increase and you won’t be interrupted right in the middle of an important web conference or when playing online casino games.

Common differences in Windows OS Versions

Most users are familiar with one version of Microsoft’s hugely popular Windows operating system. One of Microsoft’s best selling products, the Windows operating system is used across a wide range of industries and sectors as well as in home PCs. Keeping a keen eye on user demands, Microsoft has introduced various versions of Windows that are meant specifically to be used by businesses, professionals and home users.

As the purpose of each version is different, there are obviously different features too. Users can find several guides online like emailthetech.com to know a lot more about Windows. Here is a list of some of the differences you will find in various versions of Windows:

  1. Windows 95, 98 and ME were all based on a hybrid 16 and 32 bit platform. Unfortunately, such hybrid platforms are not as reliable as single platforms and can be slightly unstable.
  2. Microsoft released an updated version of Windows 95 called Windows 95B. Instead of the original 16 bit platform, this has a 32 bit one that allows for higher disk space. Another notable feature is that this was the first time the OS had the ‘Plug and Play’ features and automatically installed drives. However, the driver library was not as comprehensive as it should have been and several popular devices were not supported.
  3. Windows 98 was much better off with added USB port support and a more extensive device driver library.
  4. Windows ME doesn’t have any major differences from Windows 98 except a few patches.
  5. Windows XP was the first OS that could handle both business and home use and was highly popular with both kinds of users.
